Receptionist/Project Support Worker
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: TRAINING FOR WOMEN NETWORK LTD. The Receptionist will provide front-of-house support to ensure a welcoming and professional environment for visitors, participants, and staff. The postholder will manage reception duties, maintain administrative systems, and assist project staff with basic clerical tasks to support programme delivery. This is a JobStart opportunity for people seeking work experience in an office and customer-facing environment. Training and support will be provided throughout the placement. Travel costs may be reimbursed in line with organisational policy.
Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors, answer telephone and email enquiries, and direct them appropriately.
- Maintain attendance records, filing systems, and office supplies.
- Support project staff with data entry, scheduling meetings, and preparing materials for sessions or events.
- Assist with participant communication and basic project documentation.
- Ensure a professional, welcoming, and well-organised office environment at all times.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic IT and administrative skills (Microsoft Office, email, data entry).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in a reception, customer service, or administrative role.
- Experience working within a community or training organisation.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a small team.
