The role As a Team Leader, you will provide day to day support to the Production Manager in the daily management of the Finishing section. The Finishing team you lead is responsible for making sure finished equipment will leave our manufacturing site to the end customer at the highest possible standard. Responsibilities

• Supervision of all production and operational activities within the Finishing section.
• Coaching team member to deliver a high standard of vehicle finishing, touch up and quality of workmanship to always ensure customer satisfaction.
• First line of contact.
• Ensure all vehicles are finished in line with the Company’s and manufacturer’s requirements in terms of both quality and efficiency.
• Ensure that all available resources, people and equipment, are utilised to maximum effect in order to achieve and exceed all customer KPI’s.
• Maintain harmonious working relationships with all direct employees, nominated representatives and ensure that all subcontracted resources perform to the required standard cost effectively.
• Ensure Mallaghan operations meet all legal requirements and adhere to Company policies with regard to statutory obligations and Health and Safety requirements.
• Maintain the Company’s Quality and Environmental Systems and ensure that all operating employees adhere to written procedures.
• Alongside Human Resources, conduct meetings relating to employee relations such as disciplinaries, grievances, etc.
• Maintain employees Performance Management System.
• Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Strong technical knowledge of our finishing standards.
• Previous experience of finishing department.
• Be conscientious and self motivated with the ability to use their initiative.
• Experience of delivering high quality work within specified deadlines, this position will involve ensuring all KPI’s are met, on time and to the quality and standards required.
• Proven literacy and numeracy skills.
• Computer literate with PC skills.
• Proactive approach and a can do mentality.
• Ideally familiarization of modern manufacturing methods i.e. TPM, 5S, Kaizen.
• Flexible to meet business needs.
