Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: YOUTH LINK NI The project will deliver three clear outcomes: Youth work, Good Relations, and Citizenship. The role involves being actively engaged in the design, planning, and delivery of youth work programmes for young people who are not in education, employment, or training. The post holder will work within the respective Partner Organisation to ensure that the programme’s aims, objectives, and outcomes are successfully achieved. In addition, they will work closely with the Senior Youth Worker in all aspects of the group programme and contribute to the strategic goals of Youth Link. Unsociable hours may be required such as evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • To implement the areas of work agreed by senior youth worker and in keeping with the Project’s overall vision and operational plan.
  • To work closely with the Senior Youth Worker on the design, implementation and delivery of the group programme.
  • To liaise with and work in partnership with the other group programme workers and volunteers.
  • To ensure regular feedback and reporting through the Senior Youth Worker to the Project Co-Ordinator.
  • To engage in the design planning and delivery of the group programme for young people not in education, employment or training.
  • To ensure that the agreed milestones and delivery targets are met so that having the implementation plan is effective.
  • To process any admin and funding requirements.
  • To work within the ethos of the partner organisations sympathetic to the core values that underpin their commitment to excellence in youth work and the promotion of equity, diversity and interdependence.
  • To maintain sufficient records, reports and recordings on the group programme and to participate in regular reflection / supervision meetings with the Project Co-Ordinator.
  • To participate on a one to one and group basis periodic reflection / mentoring sessions with programme participants and support workers and volunteers.
  • To undertake any other duties commensurate and agreed by Line Manager.

Essential Skills

  • All training will be provided.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience on the listed areas within the job description / job responsibilities.

The Employer is: YOUTH LINK NI JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information - Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. - Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. - Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
