Retail Maintenance Engineer
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: FOX RETAIL SERVICES LTD As a Retail Maintenance Engineer you will be taught how to carry out scheduled maintenance, minor repairs and installations of Retail Equipment including cash tubes, checkouts and POS systems. You will develop hands-on experience with a range of hand tools, power tools and testing equipment used in general maintenance and minor engineering repairs. This role will include routine maintenance and inspections, diagnosis and repair of faults and ensuring the proper installation of equipment. Shifts and site location will vary. This position will include some days, evening and night shifts in varying locations in NI & ROI. Transport, if required, can be provided. Some overnight stays may be required, in which hotel accommodation shall be provided.
Responsibilities
- Installation and maintenance of cash tubes, checkouts and POS systems for new large retail outlets and maintenance in established retail outlet.
- Ensuring that all equipment is correctly installed and functioning properly.
- Routine maintenance and inspections: Conducting regular checks and maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnosis and repair of faults: Identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues with machinery.
- Documentation and compliance: Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Essential Skills
- Basic IT Literacy and basic numeracy skills.
- Communication skills.
- Health & Safety awareness.
- Manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow process and procedures.
Desirable Skills
- Basic Understanding of Engineering Concepts.
- CSR card.
- Experience in site environment.
- Driving licence.
