Administrative Support Assistant


Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: NI TECHNOLOGY LTD. The Administrative Support Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support to help NI Technology operate efficiently and deliver high-quality IT and business services to its clients. The role involves maintaining accurate records, managing correspondence, assisting with forms, reports, and spreadsheets, and supporting general office systems and customer communications.

Responsibilities

  • General administrative support, including filing, photocopying, scanning and data entry.
  • Respond to emails, phone calls and customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of clients, projects and support requests.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, meeting notes and management documentation.
  • Update and organise digital files using Microsoft 365 and internal systems.
  • Support the scheduling of meetings, booking appointments, preparing materials, ordering office supplies and maintaining stock records.
  • Help with invoicing, quotations and data entry on customer systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection and company policies.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • 5 GCSEs (grades A-C or equivalent), including Mathematics and English.
  • A full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in an office or business environment (paid or voluntary).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and digital filing systems.
  • Awareness of data protection, confidentiality, and information security principles.
  • Interest in administration, IT, or customer service.

The Employer is: NI TECHNOLOGY LTD. JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
