Job description

We are a long established family run business based in Strabane, specialising in the manufacture of high quality sauces, condiments & related food products. We are seeking a production operator to help the preparation and mixing of various types of product, alongside operating machinery & performing tasks in the production & packaging of food products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, produce & pack a range of food products. Maintain a clean & hygienic workspace, following food safety & hygiene standards at all times.
• Label, package & store items correctly, ensuring freshness/quality & traceability.
• Follow all aplicable quality & food safety procedures, guidelines & policies including GMP's, cleaning schedules & CCP's.
• Assist with goods in & out, support stock rotation & report low or damaged stock.
• Work efficiently with the rest of the team to meat production deadlines.
• Follow all health & safety procedures

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to follow instructions accurately & work efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail & quality standards.
• Flexibility to work in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Willingness to work overtime if required.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or production environment is preferable.
