Equipment Manager


Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: MS SPORTS ORGANISATION The role is will involve managing the inventory within the company to include stock takes of all equipment and materials and preparing / setting up events and workshops. The candidate should manage equipment and ensure safe storage plus coordinate assignments of this to coaches / staff within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with company owner on the daily and weekly sessions ahead to ensure that all events and coaches working at the events have all necessary equipment and materials to deliver fun and professional sessions across NI.
  • Managing stock levels and assignments of equipment. Ordering new equipment to ensure there is a constant ready supply as and when needed.
  • Ensuring the storage containers, studio and store rooms are well maintained.
  • Tracking and monitoring equipment that is signed out, in regards to what is out and with who (schools, coaches and other staff).
  • Ensuring equipment is at a high standard of quality and not requiring to be replaced.
  • Planning and preparing for events with managers and liaising with coaches to ensure all coaches and events are supplied with the best equipment to deliver sessions at the highest quality.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Organisational skills - to keep on top of the events planner and have prepared accordingly.
  • Communication - able to delegate jobs and communicate effectively to coaches about their requirements.
  • Driving Licence - ability to drive, lift heavy loads in and out of company vans.
  • Excel / Spreadsheet Knowledge - able to manage stock levels and ensure constant updates and reports sent to company owner weekly.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of sports and education sector.
