Administrative Support Officer
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: BRINGING HOPE TO PEOPLE WITH CANCER We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team in a dual role combining administrative support and community engagement. The successful candidate will help increase our reach across Northern Ireland, supporting fundraising activities, community connections, and day-to-day charity operations
Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support, including responding to enquiries, maintaining records, and supporting events.
- Assist with the organisation and promotion of fundraising and awareness activities.
- Engage with local communities, groups, and businesses to strengthen partnerships and raise the profile of the charity.
- Support the development of volunteer involvement and community-based initiatives.
- Assist in managing social media and communications as required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above) including English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of people.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Basic IT skills, including use of email, Word, and Excel.
- A caring and empathetic attitude towards people affected by cancer.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in an administrative or community-focused role.
- Experience working or volunteering within the charity or health sector.
