Floor Prep Operative
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: GATE INTERIORS LTD Gate Interiors Ltd are seeking a floor prep operative to join their team. The role involves training in site health and safety, including working safely alongside other trades, as well as developing skills in measuring areas for flooring, creating cutting plans both manually and using computer systems. You will learn to identify the appropriate type of flooring required, such as felt back and grips, gaining experience in creating and managing schedules of work to align with client requirements while ensuring timely procurement of materials. In addition, the position provides training in fitting all aspects of carpets, equipping the individual with the practical skills needed to deliver high-quality projects.
Responsibilities
- Measuring areas for flooring.
- Create cutting plans both manually and using computer systems.
- Identify the appropriate type of flooring required, such as felt back and grips.
- Creating and managing schedules of work to align with client requirements.
- Fitting all aspects of carpet.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Full training will be provided.
Desirable Skills
- Experience on sites.
