Support Trainer
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: IN YOUR SPACE LTD (IYSC) This is a practical job which includes working directly with participants in a class environment under the guidance of our Training team. To thrive in this role, you should have a passion for circus and an interest in developing this into best teaching practice. Your working pattern may change week to week depending on your skills, areas of development and areas of interest. If you are applying for this role, you should be able to commit to working some evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Supporting planning, delivery, and evaluation of circus classes for people aged 2 -99 years old.
- Supporting administration associated with central circus classes, including registrations and record keeping.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings to help support the progression of the Circus school.
- Assisting with the maintenance of and management of circus equipment as required.
- Attend residentials, trips and experiences as required.
- Complete relevant training opportunities.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A range of circus skills that you can share/demonstrate.
- A genuine interest in teaching circus arts to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
- Organised and enjoy planning, solving problems and meeting deadlines.
- Experience of teaching/coaching/supporting others to learn new skills.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office and other computer software.
- Experience of working as part of a team on a project or in an organisation.
- Be available to work on evenings and weekends to help deliver festivals, events and shows.
Desirable Skills
- An understanding of safeguarding and how that is applied in a learning environment.
- Knowledge of risks involved in teaching circus and know how to mitigate them.
- Experience of creating digital content and using a variety of social media platforms.
- Experience of shadowing or leading circus/other arts workshops or classes.
- An interest in wider performing arts and education.
- Knowledge around safeguarding policies.

Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
