THE EMPLOYER IS: NEDDY TEDDY'S DAY NURSERY At Neddy Teddy’s Day Nursery we provide a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child can flourish. We’re proud of our supportive and friendly team, and we’re now looking for an Administrative Assistant to help keep our nursery running smoothly. As our Nursery Administrative Assistant, you’ll provide vital administrative support to the nursery management team, helping with day-to-day operations and ensuring everything runs efficiently behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with general administration duties in the office. Such as handling correspondence, filing and general office tasks.
  • Answer calls in a professional manner, dealing with enquiries, accurately recording and relaying telephone messages to necessary staff.
  • Photocopy documents.
  • Print, laminate and help with general displays for playrooms.
  • Maintain organised filing systems and office supplies
  • Enter data on to database or Microsoft Office.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Maintain accurate child records and staff files in line with GDPR and safeguarding policies.
  • Contribute to creating a positive, professional, and welcoming environment.
  • Any other administrative tasks requested by management.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with nursery management software (training provided).
  • A friendly, approachable manner and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Experience in an administrative role (preferably in education, childcare, or a similar setting).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality principles is an advantage.
  • GCSE in Maths and English at Grade C or above.
