Job description

Deliver safe and effective person centred services, which meet national, regional and local requirements for patients with breast cancer under the direction if the Lead Nurse, Surgery & Breast Surgery. Support development of the nursing service to achieve person centred care under the direction of the Service Manager. Provide clinical expertise within the specialist area of breast cancer. Ensure the coordination of patient care across the clinical pathway in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team. Provide nurse support to patients attending for breast screening. Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Registered Nurse on part 1 of the live NMC Register.
• A breast care nursing course (at least 15 credits at first degree level or equivalent) or willingness to undertake within an agreed timeframe.
