Project Officer
Job description
To assist the Capital Contracts Manager to manage the daily operations of the Capital Projects service across Mid Ulster, to include Signage and Bus Shelters, ensuring an effective and efficient service delivery.
Responsibilities
- To assist with scheme designs, options appraisals, budget costings, specifications, tender and contract documentation, tender reports, site and contractor monitoring and inspections.
- To build and develop relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, locally and nationally to ensure the long term sustainability of the Council’s Capital Projects.
- To assist in project management of capital works projects through all stages of the feasibility, design and implementation process within strict budgetary constraints.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Applicants must have a third level qualification in a construction related discipline.
- Must possess a full, current driving licence which enables them to drive in Northern Ireland and a vehicle available for official business or have access to a form of transport which enables them to meet the requirements of the post in full.
