THE EMPLOYER IS: JOHN COURTNEY TREE SURGERY LTD. As a Trainee Tree Surgeon, you will be assisting and learning from qualified Tree Surgeons. You will undertake ground-based duties and be provided full training to complete the duties of the position. Opportunities are available for further training. Jobs are based in Enniskillen depot & Lisburn depot. Salary dependent on abilities/experience, starting salaries listed.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in tree pruning, felling, and maintenance.
• Learning and applying tree surgery techniques under the supervision of experienced professionals.
• Operating and maintaining equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and other arboricultural tools.
• Carrying out safety checks on equipment and work sites.
• Following health and safety guidelines and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to work at heights essential.
• Driver’s licence advantageous.
• Ability to work on your own and within a team is essential.
• All training will be provided.

Desirable Skills

• Experience or qualifications in chainsaw use.
• Trailer test.

Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
