Marketing & Social Media Assistant
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: WEE CHICKS FAMILY LTD. We’re looking for a creative and organised person to support our marketing and social media activity. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being creative, using social media, and learning how marketing works in a real business setting. You’ll work closely with management and our internal team to help deliver marketing activity, manage social media, and support day-to-day admin tasks. Training and ongoing support will be provided, no previous experience required.
Responsibilities
- Marketing Support - Work the team to help deliver our marketing plan.
- Marketing Support - Help gather ideas and content for marketing campaigns.
- Marketing Support - Make sure marketing activity supports business goals.
- Social Media & Content - Help manage social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
- Social Media & Content - Create and post content, respond to messages, and monitor engagement.
- Social Media & Content - Help create simple content such as posts, blogs, photos, and short videos.
- Social Media & Content - Collect and organise marketing content.
- Sales & Team Support - Support colleagues with basic sales and marketing administration.
- Sales & Team Support - Help keep records of enquiries and opportunities.
- Admin & Office Support - Support the business manager with general admin tasks.
- Admin & Office Support - Help organise documents & files.
- Admin & Office Support - Provide day-to-day support to the wider team.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- No previous marketing experience is needed - training will be provided.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using a computer and basic software.
- An interest in marketing, social media, or content creation.
- Creative and happy to share ideas.
- Able to work well as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
- Social media experience.
- Experience with Canva or basic design tools.

JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. - Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. - Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. - Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
