Job description
We are currently looking to add a skilled Butcher to join our growing team. The Butcher is responsible for preparing, cutting, and presenting meat products to a high standard while maintaining excellent hygiene, food safety, and customer service. The role requires skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Hours: Full Time 38-40 hours Monday - Friday (Weekends Off)
Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, debone and prepare various types of meat according to quality standards
- Display meat products attractively and ensure freshness at all times
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Manage stock levels, rotate products, and minimize waste
- Operate and maintain butcher equipment safely
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Delivery of our products to our large customer network all across Northern Ireland
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Previous experience as a butcher or meat cutter preferred
- Good knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Work may involve early starts, and standing for long periods
