Junior Stock Controller
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: THE ESSENCE VAULT LTD The Jaq. Group is a fast-moving company which has experienced considerable growth over the last year and have partnered with the Jobstart Scheme to offer entry-level positions in the field of logistics and distribution. The junior stock controller is an entry-level position within inventory management and logistics. Their primary responsibilities involve assisting in the efficient monitoring, tracking, and maintenance of a company's inventory.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that you treat those with whom they come into contact in a courteous and respectful manner in accordance with the Dignity at Work Procedure.

- Inventory Tracking: Assisting in monitoring stock levels, tracking item movements, and ensuring accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods.
- Data Entry: Recording inventory data into computer systems, databases, or inventory management software.
- Stock Replenishment: Collaborating with senior stock controllers to determine optimal stock levels and initiating reorder processes as needed.
- Stock Rotation: Helping to manage the "first in, first out" (FIFO) principle, ensuring that older stock is used or sold before newer stock to prevent product spoilage or obsolescence.
- Stock Audits: Participating in regular stocktaking and inventory audits to verify physical counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Reporting: Assisting in generating inventory reports that provide insights into stock levels and potential stock-related issues.
- Organisation: Maintaining a neat and organized stockroom or warehouse layout for easy access and efficient stock retrieval.
- Collaboration: Coordinating with other departments such as customer service, sales, and fulfilment to ensure accurate stock information and smooth inventory operations.
- Quality Control: Inspecting products for damage, defects, or irregularities during the receiving process and reporting any issues.
- Problem Solving: Identifying and addressing stock-related issues, such as shortages, overages, or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Learning and Development: Gaining knowledge of inventory management principles, company products, and industry-specific regulations.

The Employer is: THE ESSENCE VAULT LTD JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
