Marketing & Digital Content Co-ordinator

Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: NEMSTAR Nemstar Ltd is a friendly, local, family-run Northern Ireland business with a small team and global customers. We specialise in Information Security & Cyber Training and help organisations build real cyber capability. We’re looking for a Marketing & Digital Content Coordinator to help us grow awareness, generate demand, and support sales through high-quality digital content and marketing execution. This is a hands-on role covering digital content creation, professional video and sound editing, website content and updates, social media marketing and sales enablement, digital marketing and advertising, and event organisation/co-ordination. You’ll report to our Operations Director and work closely with a supportive local team. This role is hybrid, based from our Holywood town centre office with some flexible work-from-home hours. Because we’re small, this role suits someone who can stay focused, follow through, and take ownership of tasks - using checklists/templates, keeping records tidy, and asking questions early if something isn’t clear. This is a genuine learn-and-grow role with structured onboarding and ongoing support. You’ll be supported to develop practical sales/admin skills and build knowledge of the cybersecurity sector, including working towards the BCS CISMP qualification within your first 6 months (as part of the JobStart plan).

Responsibilities

  • Create, schedule and publish social content.
  • Build campaign content packs (post variants, captions, creatives, short clips) and maintain a simple content calendar.
  • Monitor engagement, manage community responses, and route/escalate enquiries quickly.
  • Produce and edit videos for campaigns, launches and events (filming, cutting, captions/subtitles, animations, channel formatting).
  • Perform sound editing to ensure clean, professional audio (levels, noise reduction, voice clarity).
  • Progress to producing and editing full training courses, using repeatable templates for consistent branding and quality.
  • Update website pages and create/update landing pages for campaigns, launches, events and lead generation.
  • Keep web content accurate, on-brand and conversion-focused (clear CTAs, readable layout, correct links).
  • Coordinate web updates with social/email messaging so launches run end-to-end without gaps.
  • Support planning and coordination for webinars, seminars and roadshows (logistics, registrations, run-sheets).
  • Produce event materials and promotions (landing pages, social/email promos, slides templates, post-event follow-ups).
  • Track registrations/leads and ensure timely follow-up and content reuse after events.
  • Work independently, ask questions early, and meet deadlines across multiple workstreams.
  • Suggest practical improvements to campaign execution (templates, checklists, asset library, simple reporting).

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Highly digitally capable: confident using devices and online tools daily; able to learn new platforms and technology quickly (social tools, editing software, audio & video hardware, website/CMS, CRM).
  • Strong written communication: able to write clear, professional copy for posts, emails, web pages, landing pages, captions and CTAs, with good spelling/grammar.
  • Content creation skills: comfortable creating digital content to a consistent standard (social posts, simple graphics, short clips) while following brand guidance and templates.

  • Website content updating: comfortable making website updates (editing text, adding images/video, updating links, formatting pages) and working carefully to avoid errors.
  • Organisation and attention to detail: able to manage multiple tasks, maintain tidy asset libraries, name/version files properly, and quality-check content before publishing.
  • Professional judgement online: understands appropriate tone, confidentiality, and brand reputation.
  • Able to work independently in a small team: manages own workload, stays focused, asks for help early when unsure, and applies feedback.
  • Security-aware mindset: careful handling of information and professional conduct when publishing online and working remotely.
  • Reliable attendance: consistent attendance in the Holywood town centre office during core hours.

Desirable Skills

  • A-levels (or equivalent), or a degree in any discipline.

  • AI-enabled working: confident using AI tools (e.g., Copilot/ChatGPT or similar) to accelerate content creation, research, drafting, summarising and campaign planning while applying good judgement.
  • Good digital working habits: structured task management (checklists, calendars, reminders), prioritising work, and meeting deadlines in a small team.
  • Comfortable learning new tools quickly (Teams/Zoom, shared drives/SharePoint/OneDrive, collaboration workflows) and suggesting simple process improvements.
  • Demonstrable experience (even personal/college/voluntary) in video editing using tools such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, CapCut or similar.
  • Sound/audio editing basics: cleaning speech audio, balancing levels, removing background noise, adding simple music/VO appropriately.
  • Social media marketing familiarity: planning posts, using scheduling tools, basic analytics, community engagement, and sensible brand tone.
  • Website/CMS updates (e.g., WordPress or similar), including editing pages, uploading media, and maintaining consistent formatting.

  • Advertising exposure: interest or experience in paid social/search ads (basic setup, targeting concepts, ad creatives, simple reporting).
  • Event organisation/co-ordination: logistics planning, run-sheets, registrations, supplier coordination, and post-event follow-up.
  • Interest in technology/cybersecurity and curiosity about how organisations build cyber capability (a strong advantage in our sector).
