HR Officer
Job description
As HR Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the people strategies while overseeing all aspects of HR within the group of companies across sites in Derry and Donegal.
Responsibilities
- Include management of recruitment processes. Onboarding of employees, including reference checks, new start documentation, right to work checks, issuing offer letters / contracts and the delivery of induction training.
- Planning, organising, and assisting in the delivery of training and development for all staff. You will complete payroll administration.
- Manage absence and employee relations issues. Oversee and provide support with performance management.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are implemented in a consistent manner.
- Maintain all fair employment records and ensure the fair employment monitoring return is completed for the Company. You will also assist with health and safety duties as and when required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Essentially, you will have previous experience working in a HR role where you have been responsible for employee relations and absence management.
- You will have strong knowledge of RoI and UK employment law with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Effective organisational, planning and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and be proficient in Microsoft suite.
