Job description

To deliver person-centred care and support to residents within Nazareth House Care Village. The Healthcare Assistant will assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and general well-being in line with each individual’s care plan. The role plays a key part in maintaining the comfort, safety, and dignity of residents, while working collaboratively with the wider care team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, mobility, meals, and daily routines.
• Follow care plans, document changes, and support medication if trained.
• Promote independence, communicate clearly, work as a team, and uphold health, safety, hygiene standards.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Completion of or willingness to complete NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Good spoken and written English.
• Basic IT literacy for documentation purposes.

Desirable Skills

• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
