The role involves working from drawings, preparing and assembling pipework and ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard. You will work with a range of materials, support welders with correct fit up, and carry out basic testing and checks.
Responsibilities
- Read and follow drawings and instructions
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipework
- Work with steel, stainless steel, copper, and plastic pipe
- Fit flanged, screwed, and welded joints
- Use hand tools and power tools safely
- Support welders
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Good practical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work from drawings
- Experience with common pipefitting tools
- Strong awareness of safety procedures
- Good communication and teamwork
Desirable Skills
- Experience with stainless steel materials
- Experience working on industrial, commercial, or process plant sites
- Driving licence and willingness to travel when required
