THE EMPLOYER IS: FALLS WOMEN'S CENTRE The Receptionist is responsible for providing front-desk support by greeting visitors, handling incoming calls, and performing basic administrative tasks. This role creates a positive first impression and ensures smooth daily office operations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner directing them to appropriate persons or room.
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and meeting room bookings.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean, organised reception area.
  • Perform basic administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and photocopying.
  • Assist with office supplies inventory and ordering.
  • Coordinate with staff and departments as needed.
  • Assist in the organisation of events and information sessions for FWC.
  • Follow company procedures and confidentiality guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • A recognised qualification in administration, at least NVQ Level 1 or 2 equivalent.
  • Two years’ experience within the field of administration.
  • Good standard of literacy.
  • Recognised I. T. qualification & demonstrable experience in the use of a full range of Microsoft Office systems.
  • Knowledge and experience of social media.
  • Excellent customer care skills.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Able to use own initiative.
  • Minute taking.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Willingness to undertake training.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of working within community development.
