Caretaker & Maintenance Supervisor


Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: NICSSA The successful candidate will act as a caretaker and supervisor, ensuring that all facilities and public areas are properly maintained and presented to the facilities standard guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring quality standards and procedures are fully understood, implemented and regularly reviewed.
  • Assisting customer services team in the delivery of facility services.
  • Maintaining the security of facilities and stock and dealing with lost property in accordance with facilities procedures.
  • Ensuring the proper use of equipment and materials in the correct manner and that any problems / issues are reported immediately.
  • Ensuring you respond to members and users concerns and find the appropriate solution.
  • Ensuring you comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures especially.
  • Work effectively with colleagues across departments to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Will be responsible for maintaining a high level of general cleanliness, general maintenance and upkeep of the facilities, ensuring a friendly and efficient service to all users of the facilities.
  • They will also ensure that the security of the facilities is maintained and scheduled health and safety and other checks are conducted throughout the facilities.
  • A knowledge of repairs and a good standard of record keeping is essential.
  • Must have the ability to carry out minor repairs and general maintenance including but not limited to basic plumbing and decorating and be able to work unsupervised.
  • To ensure that all allocated tasks are completed within the required timescales and to the standard required by their Line Manager.
  • To act as a caretaker for the facility and perform opening and closing duties as and when required.

  • Ability to work under pressure and against agreed timescales.
  • The ability to prioritise, plan, organise and demonstrate attention to detail.

The Employer is: NICSSA JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
