Job description

Afterschool's Assistant As a Nursery Assistant in Appletree Childcare, your role is to ensure the children that attend the setting receive the highest standard of care and you create an environment that supports their learning, development and well-being. You will safeguard all children and ensure that their individual needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring safety and well being of children.
• Providing caring and stimulating environment of children.
• Be focused, committed and passionate about delivering great quality care to the children and parents.
• Ensure any child protection concerns are dealt with in line with the Child protection policy and any other relevant policies.
• Build and maintain working relationships with parents/carers, and work in partnership with parents/carers.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• NVQ Level 2 (Childcare and development) or working towards.
• 2 years experience working with children.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working with children.
• Trainings e.g. First Aid, Food Hygiene, etc.
• NVQ level 3 or Level 5 (Early Years care and Learning Education) or equivalent.
