Job description

The post holder will work as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team and ensure a high quality, responsive occupational therapy service for patients presenting with a range of mental health conditions. The post holder will manage a caseload and carry out a programme of intervention to clients in a community setting who have complex needs and essentially suffer from mental health problems including severe and enduring mental illness. Occasionally the caseload may consist of clients who also have a physical/learning disability.

Responsibilities

• Manage a defined caseload of patients and be responsible for prioritising workload in line with agreed Trust priorities, policies and procedures.
• Undertake comprehensive, client centred occupational therapy assessment and treatment of patients.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC Registration on application.
