Job description

Unit Head of Pre-school room - 15 children - plan and carry out age appropriate activities for the room. To support the manager and carry out managerial task e.g. supervisions, paperwork, show rounds etc.

Responsibilities

• Help & Support current Manager.
• Plan and organise activities for preschool children.
• Carry out general housekeeping duties.
• Good communication skills to talk to parent's current and new.
• Work as part of a team within a busy nursery.
• Confident in simple computer skills e.g. Word documents.
• Carry out children's personal care needs.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Must hold Level 5 Qualification or above in Child Care.
• Must have at least 2 years experience within the child care industry.
• Good Communication Skills with Parents, Staff & Children.

Desirable Skills

• Music, Baking, Sports activities that can be carried forward to do with the children.

Further Information

Covering Maternity Cover - up to at least 1 year Working 4 days per week between Monday to Friday 10 hour shifts e.g. 7.15am - 5.15pm or 8.15am - 6.15pm 3 paid breaks - 15minute in the morning & afternoon and 1x30 minute lunch time. Nursery based in the grounds of Altnagelvin hospital.
