Job description
To contribute, to the provision of a modern, professional and responsive service to support NIHE business delivery by conducting electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and diagnostics in Housing Executive properties and carry out health and safety testing of equipment, while upholding safety guidelines and complying with all applicable Codes and Regulations in line with our vision and values.
Responsibilities
- To undertake all electrical work as necessary in the maintenance and refurbishment of Housing Executive stock and buildings.
- To undertake fault-finding, and diagnostics in Housing Executive properties and make good the defect.
- To carry out minor work outside trade where required for operational purposes.
- To carry out electrical inspections and health and safety testing of domestic properties.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Have successfully completed a time served or skills electrical apprenticeship.
- Have a minimum of one year’s relevant post apprenticeship experience working in an electrical environment.

Location All our employees are assigned a base location, which for this role will be: - Cloughfern Depot, Newtownabbey (covering North or West Belfast area) or - Coleraine Depot, 1A Hillman's Way, Coleraine BT52 2ED. The role includes regular travel throughout NI. A form of transport will be provided to enable the post holder to carry out their duties.
