Warehouse Operative
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: J & W MCCALL SUPPLIES (NI) LTD J & W McCall Supplies (NI) Ltd is a family run business supplying tiles and bathrooms through Northern Ireland for over 60 years. The warehouse operative will ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand. You will report to the warehouse supervisor. Full training will be provided to ensure skills are gained to help meet the required standards to fulfil the role. Responsibilities
- Order Picking & Packing: Picking products throughout the warehouse and preparing customer orders for dispatch or delivery according to the daily schedule. This includes ensuring correct items, labels, and paperwork are included.
- Loading & Unloading: Safely loading and unloading delivery vehicles and containers, using appropriate manual handling techniques
- Stock Management: Moving stock to designated storage areas, assisting with regular stock checks, replenishing stock
- Quality Control: Inspecting all incoming and outgoing goods for damage or defects and reporting any discrepancies to a supervisor.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keeping the warehouse and yard clean, tidy, and organised, ensuring all health and safety guidelines are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Teamwork and Communication: Working effectively as part of a team and communicating with different departments, including sales and logistics.

Essential Skills
- Good time keeping and attendance.
- Must be an excellent team player.
- Ability to meet regular targets.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Be willing to follow all health and safety guidelines.
- Be willing to undergo any internal/external training that may be required to enhance skills.
