THE EMPLOYER IS: PAGES BAKE HOUSE Pages Bake House are seeking a Bakery Assistant to join their team. The role involves preparing and baking cakes, cupcakes and pastries, as well as decorating and finishing them to a high standard. It also includes keeping tools, machinery and utensils clean and well-maintained, and working in line with food safety and hygiene guidelines to ensure a safe, smooth-running kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to prepare, bake and decorate a range of pastries.
• Learn how to prepare, bake and decorate cakes.
• Keep a clean and safe work environment.
• Manage stock levels.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to learn and understand Food Safety and Hygiene.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work as part of a small team.

Desirable Skills

• Digital skills - comfortable using PC to produce picture scans for cakes.
