Our Client, Glas-Seal (NI) Ltd, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis, based in Ballynahinch. Glas-Seal (NI) Ltd is a long-established glass merchant and architectural glass processor who supplies a wide range of high-specification glass products - including single, double and triple glazing - for both domestic and commercial projects.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical engineering skills with solid experience in hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Proven experience diagnosing and repairing industrial production machinery.
• Good electrical competency with the ability to fault-find safely and effectively.
• Ability to work independently during breakdowns and make sound engineering decisions under pressure.
• Strong safety awareness and understanding of safe lifting practices.
• Good communication skills with a collaborative, team-focused approach.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
• Experience operating overhead cranes or lifting systems. Glass-handling experience beneficial
• PLC experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley (basic diagnostics and fault tracing).
• IOSH, NEBOSH or similar safety qualification.
• Previous experience in glass manufacturing (preferred) or similar environments such as CNC machining, packaging, plastics, metal fabrication or FMCG.
• Experience working with heat-based production machinery or automated handling systems.
