Accounts Administrator


Job description

This well established and reputable company, based in Derry are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join their busy accounts team. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, able to work in a fast paced environment and continue to the success of the accounts department, carrying out all tasks with accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Process purchase and sales invoices.
  • Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Process Purchase ledger invoices and match delivery notes and POs.
  • Assist with credit card statements and reconcile with bank statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Manage credit control with team.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience working as an Accounts Administrator in a fast paced environment approximately 3 years plus.
  • Experience with accounting software Sage.
  • Confident using spreadsheets and general office software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise tasks.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Complete VAT returns preferred not essential.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Reliable and trustworthy with strong integrity.
