Job description

Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in their homes, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing. The role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, personal care, medication, mobility, and companionship.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming in accordance with each client’s care plan
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and the use of mobility aids as required
• Support clients with meals, hydration, and dietary needs
• Prompt or administer medication in line with company policy and training
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Support with light domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and shopping
• Accurately record care visits and report any concerns or changes in client condition
• Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold the rights, dignity, and confidentiality of clients

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Right to work in the UK

Desirable Skills

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Previous experience in domiciliary or health and social care
