The Plumbing Vocational Tutor will deliver high-quality plumbing training within the Skills for Life and Work and ApprenticeshipsNI delivery teams at Coalisland Training Services (CTS). The role is responsible for developing the competence, confidence and employability of CTS learners through effective training, assessment and work-based learning, while ensuring full compliance with Department for the Economy, ETI expectations, and awarding-body standards. Job Duties Plan and deliver lessons and schemes of work for plumbing qualifications. Meet retention, achievement and progression targets in line with standards. Create individual training plans for all learners. Deliver high quality practical and technical plumbing training. Track, review and record learner progress in centre and in placement. Manage plumbing tools, equipment, materials and PPE. Work effectively with all CTS departments. Carry additional duties as required by CTS management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver plumbing training and assess learners.
• Attend course and assessment meetings.
• Support marketing and recruitment.
• Coordinate plumbing courses.
• Carry out assessor duties.
• Maintain tools, PPE and workshop resources.
• Visit employers for reviews and assessment observations.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 years plumbing industry experience post-apprenticeship.
• Ability to engage, support and motivate learners.
• Proven track record in meeting targets and quality standards.
• Full driving licence and access to transport.
• Excellent ICT Skills - Microsoft

Desirable Skills

• Level 3 Plumbing Qualification - or willing to complete
• Maths and English GCSE Grade C or higher (or recognised equivalent).
• Certificate in Teaching (CIT).
