Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Job description
The post holder will be an integral member of the Pelvic Health team offering physiotherapy treatment at our Outpatient Departments. Within the Pelvic Health team, the post holder will provide highly specialised assessment and treatment of outpatients with gynaecological or continence problems and obstetric related musculoskeletal problems. The post holder will be required to work independently and to liaise closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. Participation in the on-call rota and out-of-hours service may be necessary. Flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the service. The post holder may have management responsibility for more junior and support staff in these service areas. The Physiotherapy Service in the Northern Trust is committed to ongoing review and modernisation of services to enable us to provide high quality care for patients / service users. As part of this it may be required that posts become rotational within appropriately linked specialities and / or localities as the need arises.
Responsibilities
- To hold responsibility for own caseload ensuring delivery of an efficient, effective service to referred clients in line with available evidence, national guidelines and professional standards.
- Undertake appropriate advanced assessment of patients.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 2 years' post registration experience, to include physiotherapy experience in managing gynaecological and continence problems and obstetric musculoskeletal problems.
- Degree in Physiotherapy.
