Job description

You will have responsibility for the performance of these complex and specialised manufacturing systems; you will liaise with OEM engineers from a range of worldwide suppliers, as well as internal engineers and technicians from other functional groups. With a blend and mix of hands-on troubleshooting and data analysis, every day will present a different challenge.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyse and interpret equipment performance data to drive more effective decision making.
  • Development and Automation of KPI’s and strategies for early detection and control.
  • Planning and co-ordination of equipment installation and EHS considerations.
  • Maximising equipment throughput and yield performance.
  • Troubleshoot, Diagnose and Manage machine hard down events.
  • Continuous improvement to reduce Tool failures by introducing new Engineering projects.
  • Develop design changes for improvement in performance.
  • Participate and lead cross functional teams and projects.
  • Collaboration and communication with Seagate sites in the USA and Asia.

Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication skills as you will identify and lead projects to improve process control and production throughout by driving advancements in machine capability and reliability.
  • The ability to expand and progress your knowledge around new methods to achieving project goals that seem challenging.
  • Balance large workloads and ability to identify and priorities what’s important to the company’s success.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills

  • Preferably have a Bachelor's or Masters in an Electronic, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering or related degree and extensive relevant Engineering experience that would show your ability to meet & exceed the demands of the role
  • Or a Bachelor's or Master's in an Electronic, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering related degree and with limited relevant Engineering experience but can demonstrate the ability to adapt and meet the demands of the role
  • Or extensive engineering experience in wafer fabrication/semi-conductor sector with a proven track record.
