Job description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication, mechanical knowledge, and materials handling to contribute to a dynamic production environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines according to technical specifications and production requirements
• Operate CNC milling machines and other related equipment efficiently and safely
• Interpret technical drawings
• Programme CNC machines
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CNC equipment
• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and movement within the workshop or warehouse
• Use hand tools and tooling to assist with machine adjustments or minor repairs
• Conduct quality checks on finished parts to ensure adherence to specifications
• Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with safety standards
• Assist in assembly, fabrication, or welding tasks as required

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in fabrication, milling, or machining operations
• Knowledge of machine programming and troubleshooting
• Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling, materials handling, and welding techniques
• Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely within a manufacturing setting
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and programming adjustments
• Experience with warehouse organisation or materials management is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail coupled with organisational skills to ensure precision in production processes
• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment
