Warehouse Operative
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: ZEUS LABELS Zeus Labels are seeking a Warehouse Operative to assist a fast-moving label company. You will assist with preparing delivery goods, receiving raw materials and consumables, and booking stock to locations electronically using handheld scanners. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in the warehouse and yard area.
Responsibilities
- Receiving and checking all incoming raw materials and finished goods returns in a timely manner, in compliance with Goods-In-Procedure.
- Selecting suitable storage location and transferring checked materials physically and electronically, to the correct location.
- Checking the production schedule and ensuring that the materials are available and ready for issue at the press prior to requirement whilst operating FIFO stock management.
- Receiving returned material, ensuring that it is adequately labelled and returned to stock on day received.
- Determining customer delivery requirements and locating finished product from manufacturing or stock whilst operating FIFO stock management.
- Contacting approved transport companies to co-ordinate delivery of finished goods to meet required customer delivery dates.
- Preparing finished product for collection, ensuring that boxes are correctly labelled and pallets are suitably built for fleet and 3rd party transport.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Forklift Licence.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of IT.
- Flexible to meet the needs of the business.
