Job description

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Commercial Plumber to join our growing operations team, based from Carryduff. This role will involve delivering high-quality plumbing works across a range of commercial premises and construction projects, including large-scale retrofit programmes, new-build developments, renovation works, and ongoing compliance and maintenance activities. The successful candidate will be hands-on, safety-focused, and capable of working independently or as part of a wider project team, supporting both project delivery and planned and reactive maintenance services.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of commercial plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair. Deliver works across retrofit, refurbishment, and new-build commercial projects. Undertake compliance-related plumbing works within occupied commercial premises.
  • Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks in line with contractual requirements. Install, maintain, and repair pipework systems, sanitaryware, drainage, and associated plant.
  • Diagnose faults and respond effectively to reactive call-outs to minimise disruption. Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and method statements. Liaise effectively with site managers, supervisors, clients, and other trades.
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety, quality, and statutory compliance standards. Accurately complete job records, PPM reports, compliance documentation, and timesheets.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial plumbing, including maintenance and compliance environments. Experience working on large-scale retrofit, refurbishment, and construction projects. Familiarity with PPM schedules and reactive maintenance delivery.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements within commercial buildings. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills. Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • 2391, 2394/2395 Test & Inspection or equivalent remove. Experience in a similar role within social housing or commercial sectors Remove Social Housing.
