Job description

The Area Manager is responsible for the delivery of a front line, comprehensive housing service, within a designated Area in the Belfast Region, and will lead and support their team to meet the needs of customers and other business objectives. To contribute to the provision of a modern, professional and responsive service to support NIHE business delivery and our vision and values.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of a front line, comprehensive and customer focussed housing service.
• Engage with stakeholders, including residents, representatives and internal / external agencies to foster vibrant communities, within geographical neighbourhoods.
• Responsible for the delivery of Community Safety Strategies, including the effective management of Anti Social Behaviour and Estate Management Services,
• Responsible for developing community, political and voluntary networks, including Housing Community Network and Scrutiny Panel.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Possess a degree level qualification (level 6) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Or Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development or experiential learning AND have at least 4 years’ experience working within a housing function.
