We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or receiving home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity. Follow personalised care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
  • Administer medication as directed and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members regarding care needs and progress.
  • Support clients with light domestic tasks and errands as required.
  • Use IT systems to update care records accurately and promptly.
  • Drive clients to appointments or outings when necessary, ensuring safe transportation.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the sector.
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Basic IT skills for updating records and managing documentation are required.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of care plans and procedures is advantageous.
  • Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation duties but is not mandatory for all roles.
