Job description

Principal Civil Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Producing Technical Reports.
• Providing assistance to senior management in the preparation of technical and financial proposals.
• Contribute to work winning and preparation of bid documents.
• Manage personal/team budgets and resources to achieve financial targets
• Keep up to date with industry best practice and where appropriate apply best practice within the team environment
• Act in the role of Contractor’s Responsible Engineer.
• Coordinating and ensuring the production of specification and drawings.
• Undertaking concept design, feasibility studies and preliminary design.
• Attendance at meetings with team, clients, contractors and statutory bodies, including Technical Approvals as required.
• Provide supervision and training to staff.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Chartered Civil Engineer.
• Effective communication skills in a Client facing role.
• Proven experience of delivering projects to time and budget.
• Proven experience of inspection, assessment and design of various structures.
• 10 years design experience in a range of civil engineering projects.
• Full UK driving licence
