Job description

The Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) is a practitioner who works autonomously within given guidelines to deliver care to a specific group of patients attending the Emergency Department without reference to a doctor. The post holder will be part of a team of nursing, medical and allied professionals leading in the delivery of a high quality service to patients presenting with lower acuity illness and injury within the minor injuries area of South West Acute Hospital’s Emergency Department The ENP will be required to develop key relationships with the following members of the multi-professional team. Hospital medical/nursing/AHP staff Primary care staff Community nursing/AHP staff

Essential Skills

• Registered Nurse on Adult Branch of the live NMC Register.

• Certificate in ALS within the last 4 years A course in supplementary Nurse Prescribing
