Production Operative


Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: Plastics 2000 Ltd We are an injection moulding manufacturer, making plastic components for a range of industries. Reporting to the Production Supervisor you will work as a member of a fast-paced production team, ensuring targets are met and quality standards are adhered to.

Responsibilities

  • Counting, packing and labelling of finished goods for dispatch.
  • Using hand power tools, (drill & rivet gun) to assemble plastic components.
  • Working across all aspects of production operations, ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Ensure products are produced to appropriate quality standards.
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Maintain a safe, organised and efficient work area.
  • Ensure efficient production flow and make suggestions as to how workflow could be improved.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations.
  • Work efficiently to production targets.
  • Escalate issues to line management as required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Good communication skills and organisational skills.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Able to work on foot for extended periods of time.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not a requirement.
