Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: BIA LOCH LAO Responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, preparing high-quality dishes, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food to the highest quality standards, ensuring that all dishes are cooked to order and served on time.
- Station Management: Oversee a specific section of the kitchen and ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
- Inventory Management: Order and manage inventory for their section, ensuring that all necessary ingredients are available.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and high-quality food service.
- Food Safety: Adhere to food safety and sanitation practices to ensure the highest quality of food is served.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Culinary Expertise: A culinary degree or equivalent work experience is typically required, along with a strong understanding of various cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for coordinating with kitchen staff and ensuring smooth operations.
- Time Management: Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively during busy service periods.
- Creativity: A passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes, with the ability to innovate and improve existing recipes.

The Employer is: BIA LOCH LAO JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
