THE EMPLOYER IS: SG CONSTRUCTION The Yard Operative will support the day-to-day running of the builder’s yard by maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment. The role involves handling materials, preparing orders for collection, and supporting site teams. Full training and supervision will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the yard clean, tidy and well organised.
• Preparing materials and equipment for collection by site teams.
• Loading and unloading materials safely.
• Organising and storing materials correctly in the yard.
• Assisting with stock checks and basic record keeping.
• Maintaining a safe working environment.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to carry out physical work.
• Willingness to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Good time management.
• Awareness of basic health and safety practices.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in a yard or construction environment (not essential).
• Manual handling awareness.
• Basic knowledge of construction materials.
• Organisational skills.

The Employer is: SG CONSTRUCTION JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information - Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. - Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. - Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
