THE EMPLOYER IS: CLANRYE GROUP This entry-level role will support adults with Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD) as they develop independence and work-related skills through practical fulfilment tasks such as packaging, labelling, sorting, and assembly. The post holder will work closely with the Lead Support Worker to assist participants in their daily routines and independence sessions, while taking a lead role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and presentation of all fulfilment tasks completed. You will be supported and trained by the Clanrye team to maintain quality standards, encourage participants, and help create a safe, inclusive, and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support adults with Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD) in daily activities, encouraging independence, confidence, and skill development.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and guidance during tasks.
  • Prepare work areas and materials to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Work with the Lead Support Worker to follow daily routines and learning plans.
  • Help participants build communication, teamwork, and employability skills through structured practice.
  • Communicate effectively within a small, supportive team.
  • Attend staff meetings, training, and reflective sessions to develop skills and confidence.
  • Offer ideas and feedback to improve participant experience and fulfilment services.
  • Check and maintain quality standards for packaging, assembly, and fulfilment tasks.
  • Check Ensure all products meet required specifications before dispatch.
  • Check Keep workspaces organised and products clearly labelled for collection.
  • Check Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures.
  • Check Record task completion and quality checks as required.
  • Check Assist with continuous improvement of fulfilment processes.
  • Check Support movement of materials and products between Clanrye sites and the central hub.
  • Check Ensure items are transported safely and in line with quality standards.
  • Check Maintain simple records of collections, deliveries, and stock movement.
  • Adhere to Clanrye Group’s ‘Code of Conduct’ maintaining confidentiality, professionalism and quality standards across all work practices and interactions.
  • Perform job duties in compliance with Clanrye Group’s policies and procedures to include adherence to equal opportunities, health and safety legislation and data protection requirements.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Clanrye Group through the completion of all tasks allocated by attending staff and development opportunities to ensure that professional competency is maintained.
  • Ensure that all safeguarding procedures are followed as outlined in Clanrye Group’s safeguarding manual.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Able to follow instructions carefully and complete practical tasks to the required standard.
  • Shows attention to detail and accuracy in fulfilment and participant support tasks.
  • Demonstrates reliability, consistency, and a willingness to complete assigned responsibilities.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and communicates clearly with staff and participants.
  • Maths and English qualifications.
  • Willingness to undertake training relevant to the role.
  • No previous experience required - full training will be provided.
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a respectful approach towards others.
  • Able to remain calm and adapt to changing needs while supporting participants
  • Shows motivation to develop skills and work within a supportive, structured environment.
  • Able to build trust and rapport with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Demonstrates active listening skills and clear communication.
  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and participants.
  • Willingness to complete safeguarding training and adhere to procedures.
  • This post requires an Enhanced AccessNI check.
  • Access to transport or ability to travel to the Newry site.

Desirable Skills

  • Basic IT skills or willingness to learn.
  • Experience (voluntary, educational, or informal) of completing practical or task-based work.
  • Experience or interest in working with people with learning disabilities or additional needs.
