General Labourer


Job description

Multiple permanent General Labourer positions are available in the Toome area, offering the chance to join a well-established local employer with competitive pay, overtime and bonus potential and a supportive team environment. With various shifts available and immediate starts, you’ll play a hands-on role in the production of high-quality concrete products while building a long-term career. About this role: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour. Full Time Evening/Night shifts available. Immediate Start. Various Shifts available. Permanent role.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery and equipment for producing concrete products (e.g. precast panels, beams, flooring units).
  • Follow production schedules and work orders to meet daily targets.
  • Assist with setting up moulds and forms before pouring concrete.
  • Mix, pour, and compact concrete to the required standards.
  • Measure and verify dimensions to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Load and unload raw materials (cement, aggregates, steel reinforcement).
  • Move products within the production area using forklifts, pallet trucks, or cranes (if trained).
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors, machine operators, and quality inspectors.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing, production or similar environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
  • Good attention to detail and reliability.
