Digital Engagement & Business Support Assistant
Job description
THE EMPLOYER IS: KG STRATEGIES KG Strategies is a small Northern Ireland-based consultancy that specialises in stakeholder engagement, public consultation, and supporting public bodies to involve communities in service change. The Digital Engagement & Business Support Assistant will support the day-to-day administration of the business while contributing to digital engagement activities linked to the development and launch of Consult Hub, a new digital platform designed to help people understand and take part in public consultations. The role offers practical experience in administration, digital engagement, and online content creation, helping the participant develop transferable skills within a professional consultancy environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the set-up and organisation of administrative systems for KG Strategies, including digital filing structures, document templates, and record-keeping processes.
- Assist in streamlining office procedures, such as standardising documents, improving filing and version control, and helping create simple process guides.
- Provide general business administration, including inbox support, scheduling meetings, formatting documents, and preparing materials for consultancy and training work.
- Maintain spreadsheets, contact lists, and basic project trackers linked to stakeholder engagement and consultation projects.
- Support digital engagement and social media activity to promote Consult Hub and KG Strategies’ work, including drafting posts, scheduling content, and monitoring engagement.
- Assist with the creation of promotional and informational materials, such as blogs, infographics, short updates, and basic presentations.
- Help identify target audiences and opportunities for outreach related to public consultation and engagement activity.
- Carry out desk research to support the development of Consult Hub and to inform marketing and engagement activity.
- Assist with website updates, page builds, and basic content management tasks.
- Support project coordination and other business support tasks as required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Basic IT skills, including email, word processing, and online tools.
- Good written communication skills.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of administration, digital engagement, or communications.
- Basic awareness of social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram).
- Knowledge of public services, community engagement, or consultation.
- Some experience using spreadsheets, websites, or content tools.
