Responsibilities

• Support service users with daily living skills, medication management, and tenancy support.
• Encourage participation in activities and social outings to promote well-being.
• Provide emotional and practical support to individuals as they work towards greater independence.
• Assist with appointments, shopping, and budgeting support.
• Work alongside a team of 15, including a manager, senior support workers, sleepover staff, and project workers.
• Take the lead during shifts in the absence of management.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• To be flexible as the role will involve working on a rota/shift basis in 24hr Supported Housing. Shifts will include early shifts, late shifts and weekends as required to meet the needs of the scheme.
• Be educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in a related subject e.g. Care and 6 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting.
• Or A minimum of 12 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting.
• Have proven experience of motivating, supporting and mentoring Service Users in a Health and social care setting.
• Experience of maintaining service user and agency records.
• Working knowledge of using IT systems.

Ballymisert, is home to 21 people and the Inspire team provide 24-hour person-centred support to help them live independently, build resilience, and develop life skills in a supportive environment. Ballymisert is a modern service in Belfast, consisting of 17 single flats and one shared house. The service is recovery-focused, supporting people progress towards independent living at their own pace.
