Project Worker (Day Support)
Job description
Support People to Connect, Grow, and Thrive, Join Belfast CWS. At Belfast Community Wellbeing Service, we provide therapeutic support, group sessions, and 1:1 interventions to help people across the city reconnect with their communities, manage their mental health, and build structure into their lives. We work with people aged 18-65, offering a welcoming, creative, and flexible approach to recovery.
Responsibilities
- Deliver group sessions, facilitate safe spaces, and adapt content to suit participants
- Provide individual support and keyworking-building support plans, reviewing progress, and adjusting goals
- Lone work and outreach across Belfast, collaborating with colleagues and community partners
- Help people reduce isolation, build confidence, and feel more connected
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- To be flexible so to meet the needs of the service.
- Possess a full current driving licence and access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a driver’s licence. Business Insurance will be required for this
- Be educated to QCF/NVQ Level 2, or equivalent, in a related subject e.g. Care and 6 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting. OR
- A minimum of 12 months paid experience supporting people within a health and social care setting
- Have proven experience of motivating, supporting and mentoring Service Users.
- Experience of maintaining service user related records
- Working knowledge of using IT systems.
